I'll bite. I'm in my late 30's, and I'm an objectively attractive guy. Women have come over and talk to me at bars and give me their number, and gay guys hit on me a lot (always a good sign). I've used OLD for a while for a number of reasons. 1. It's hard to meet people in person that I like, 2. I used to have low self confidence, and so it was easier. It has vacillated greatly, but recently it's been its worst. I've matched with some objectively stunning women, 98% of them don't respond. If the…

Uh why don’t you go out with her again and kiss her and have sex with her. Try hydrating first or bring chapstick.

This sub sure has gone to shit. So far today - why do I fall fo my friends with boyfriends, why do girls who have been raped talked to me, should I tell people I used a prostitute. Literally none of this has to do with seduction. Maybe this sub should be turned into /therapy

This reeks of fake, but who knows. If I messaged most girls this they would block me in a heart beat, not because I’m not attractive, but because they have self worth. While most women might be horny, objectifying them like that isn’t the way to capitalize on it. Also, why would a chick like that need to go on hinge to get laid?

I don't know what I'd need to do to improve my profile, in particular because I get no feedback on my profile. But I'm looking for a real connection, so I'm not going to put some pithy sarcastic comments in there. And my pictures are very good, I'm not sure what could be "improved" about them. In terms of messaging, again, I have no idea what to do to improve, because I get no feedback. I try a variation of messages, from commenting on their profile, to making a joke. Most of the time, they don'…

Yes. It’s glaring, and it sucks. It’s especially frustrating to me because so many women (at least where I’m from) who are attractive are invariably totally vapid and uninteresting. It’s really hard to find quality women who are attractive, intelligent and self aware, and ready for commitment. I’m totally over and uninterested in just dating casually and hooking up. I’m at the point where I want deep meaningful connection. I had a one night stand with this really hot chick last month, and it was…

I take one example out of dozens. Almost everyone I talk to says a variation of online dating sucks, I hate it, I don't want to do it. I've met so many girls who say they go on dating apps, they use it for a minute, get disgusted, and sign off. I've met tons of girls who say they use the apps to mess around, or just let their friends play around, but aren't serious about meeting someone. But yes, I think this is a great example of someone saying what most other people feel.
/r/seduction27/10/17 02:14 AM

Terrible. I can’t meet anyone. Anyone I meet in person either isn’t interesting, or people I am interested in are in relationships. I’ve been trying online dating but there’s so much garbage on there, and when I do match with people i write them and they don’t respond, or they respond once and never again. Soooo yeah.

Sorry, that wasn't meant to be snarky. I just meant, if you think that getting a number is better than tinder sex, wait til you get in a real relationship. It will blow your mind. And no, I don't just mean being with someone.

I'm confident that there is. I've seen really odd behavior from tinder and have used it for many years. When I first started I matched with lots of hot girls, and a dozen girls a day. Now I match with maybe one girl a week. Sometimes it increases but it seems to be random and mostly involve travel - like when I go to a new city. But yeah, on other apps I match with dozens of women, and after years with tinder, almost no one anymore. Also, sometimes I match with very atttactive women on tinder, b…

Totally agree with this. Funny story - this came up for me just the other day with a group of men. I met 2 guys on a bus in Europe - father and son traveling around, father in his late 60s or 70s. This wise old man actually said to me women like assholes and guys who treat them like shit. I was shocked. Other two guys with us agreed. Women do not like being treated like shit. Some women may have low self confidence or a love map that attracts them to avoidant abusive men, but most women of value…

I just feel out of control in terms of getting a girl to be into me. One thing I'm wondering, is if I don't make it clear I'm into someone. I feel like when I go on dates in the past few years, in pretty much every case something physical happens on the first date. But I don't know how to handle the "I just met this chick at a random place (like a hostel) and I want to make something happen", as I said. Like, I spent the day with this chick the other day, she's clearly super open, and I wanted t…

These posts are so useless. If you don't know these things already you shouldn't be having sex. If a girl is interested, that's the easy part. The only hard part is getting her to be interested.

An important note - people, please learn what words mean and their actual significance. Being an introvert has nothing to do with not knowing how to text a certain way. There are millions of introverts who are charming and outgoing and funny and know how to converse with ease. It just means you get drained by social interaction and need time to recharge, or potentially process differently, not that you're socially inept.

I used to go out on 3 dates a week from online dating. Now I barely can get one a month. I've met a few girls on it recently I like but for the most part it's frustrating.

Lol nope it's a great mindset. It's always a good idea to give up when you encounter difficulty in life. The best mindset is to just be a lazy fuck and hope life is easy and gives you everything you want without any effort. Also, now you can just live the rest of your life alone, phoning everything in and never really being challenged or having success. Sounds really ideal. Or you're just frustrated and you'll change your mind in a week or two.

I appreciate your thoughtful response, and I think I agree - having trouble with the attraction phase. I guess from your post, I don't really know what is involved there. Like in regards to the Burning Man photo - what could I have really said, and what's wrong with the message I sent? If she says "I have been, it was awesome!" I could at least go from there with more questions. It seems odd to me to just tell a story... like "Hey, the Light Houses in this pic were amazing. You got this 360 degr…

What are you writing women?
/r/seduction03/07/17 11:50 AM
2

That's my point - most of the time there is no conversation. On apps like Hinge, you can send an initial message and the girl has to accept the message which creates a connection. Most of the time I don't send a message because when I do, girls will accept my match/message but not say anything in response to it. So this girl wrote about her go to karaoke songs, saying she needs a male backup and I said I'd back her up if she backed me up on this other song. She accepted my message but didn't say…

But here's what I don't understand. Your assumption is I am not attractive enough for these women without knowing what I look like. On all apps today except Match and OKCupid, a girl has to swipe on you before you can write her. That means they have to say "I like this dude, I think he's attractive" before you can message them. I use Hinge as one app, and it indicates which section of your profile the girl "liked" and almost every time it's not my first photo. This means they're not just looking…

The difference is that it's free, and doesn't use text messages. It uses data instead of SMS, and it's the most widely used form of communication on smart phones in the world. Every person in Europe, Africa, China, etc. uses it. You can make phone calls, video calls, it's all free, all through the same app.

This guy is a shit bag. Holy crap. The 3rd girl was so uncomfortable with his messaging which is why the video cut off and she was almost antagonistic in her response "everyone has whatsapp". I have no interest in interacting with women in this way, and any girl with value would slap this dude for his antics. It's one thing to be subtle and engage in innuendo, it's another to be a creep and be a cocky prick. Maybe you'll get lucky every once in a while but are the girls you attract like this wor…

Tinder sucks, at least for me. Tinder and Bumble. I never ever get matches on Bumble. I get scattered on tinder but no one EVER responds. I have a lot of luck with Hinge matches but again, no one ever responds. Like girls who like my profile I message them (they never initiate) and I almost never get a response. And I don't initiate with hi or hey or any of that BS. I used to get 3 dates a week from online dating 2 years ago when I was single last. Now it's barely one a month. Not sure what the …

I 100% agree. I've dated girls that are extremely attractive, have had girls who are beautiful show interest, but on all the dating apps girls barely even acknowledge me. If I happen to match with an attractive woman they barely respond or don't respond at all. And I agree - after a while, it gets to you. I question whether I'm really attractive or not or what the deal is - maybe those girls were flukes? It sucks... I'd like to get off online dating but I feel like offline dating is even harder.…

Yeah I feel like a lot of women don't want foreplay and want to just jump to penetration. I want to engage in foreplay, but for most women, I find acts, in particular oral, makes them uncomfortable, especially with someone they don't know.

Appreciate the reply. I agree with you. I actually have been trying to be more mindful in general and I think it would help a lot in this situation. Numbing myself or ignoring the present sounds awful and like it will only work as a stop gap. I definitely had a point where I lasted and lasted and it was great but I think I was desensitized to some extent so i didn't feel as aroused as I would like. You're mincing words - a market research study is a survey of peoples feelings about a product, or their habits - it still shows that looks are not the only factor. Not sure what you are referring to in regards to misconstruing, but if I'm correct in my intuition, how does one interpret this: And using that article to support that assertion is wrong, because like you he probably has the reading comprehension of a child.

So I made a comment that Tinder did a study that women almost universally swiped left on photos of male models. You asked for a source, I provided it. I didn't make a comment about any other study, just that Tinder conducted A study. I made a assertion: It's not all about looks, which objectively it isn't, or there would be no unattractive men or women who date. Also, no study in the linked article validates the assertion that looks are the only factor. In fact, most of the article talks at leng…

Totally agree and understand what you're saying. I don't meet air heads - in fact, I meet plenty of great people, artists, writers, etc - but I don't feel the chemistry with them. Honestly, I really want connection, and I feel like I'm at a time in my life where I need to be connecting with myself. What if your advice was to jump into traffic? Should I listen to it? I've never understood this about reddit, as this is universally the response when I disagree with a post. People ask for advice all the time, does that mean they should take it at face value? Would you take any piece of advice without question from a person in real life? I read the articles. Not sure how this proves your point. It states that men tend to fall in love faster, but I don't know where it indicates that you have to trail the woman emotionally. The implication of your argument is that you have to show more interest, if she's showing interest, and if she's not, then don't. If I'm interested in someone, I'm going to make it known, pursue them, try to facilitate a connection. If they are uninterested, then me pulling back isn't going to do much of anythi…

See I agree with you. I'm not necessarily expecting instant connection, but I am expecting consistency if you feel something there to deepen it. I am extremely honest and open and vulnerable with everyone I meet, especially women. I don't expect us to spend every day together, but it just seems like most women I'm meeting don't want consistency and engage in connection building. The implication of what you're saying is that women are out of touch with themselves. As Woujo said, yes, some women are, but many women are not. People are fluid creatures, so asking a woman what she wants vs what she needs may change. Some needs are solidified, while others may change as they evolve. A woman who has a child has different needs than a woman who is single and doing her own thing. I'm not sure your point about the Don Juan comment. If you ask a woman "Do you want me to kiss you w…

So a couple of things: Girls go on Bumble for many reasons. Who knows why she's on there. But she went on there and put a link to her very personal, intimate blog, that contained her contact info. If she didn't want to be contacted, she probably wouldn't have included it. It took no time at all. I put the blog into google and there was her info. Yep, it's been the theory I've developed as a developer/online dater/startup founder. Back in the day, they were testing Tinder and trying to get a handle on how it works/attract people. Now, they are a legitimate business and need to make money. Since I doubt anyone views the ads that much, their only ability to really make money (other than selling user data, which is pretty limited) is to get people to pay for boosts or whatever other gimicks there are. So if someone is pretty active, there's…

Objectively, there is a set of important things in life. Biologically and emotionally, that's a fact. It shows up in spiritual writings, and science alike. You are sure what to do, you are afraid to do it. If you want to see this girl, text her. If you don't, don't. If you think sending her one text or another is going to really have that much of an impact, you need to rethink things. Women like men who know what they want and go for it. If she doesn't respond positively it wouldn't have worked out regardless. I would say the best thing you can do in your life is do what you want and learn from your experience. Sorry, but what an awful conversation. These are such basic, asinine questions, and he seems so inauthentic in delivering them. He's awkwardly laughing the entire time and what was with the followup question about her boyfriend? Why not ask her what her focus of study is, or what interested her in economics at least to show you have more depth than a puddle? If this is all it takes to get a girls information, I should go out and just build a Rolodex of numbers.

When I was 18 years old, all I wanted to do was be in love. Over the next 15 years, it was beaten out of me by the stressors of life, bad dates, and me not being ready to accept and nurture that love. I went out with a girl for 2 years who was gorgeous, and sweet, but not what I wanted. Instead of manning up, I treated her like crap and cheated on her multiple times. I went on date, after date, after date trying to find happiness by getting the approval of women and sleeping with them. After 55 …

I agree with part of what you're saying - I think she's into me and not looking for an out, this actually was expressed like 5 months ago when I think she was having some doubts (which are normal and OK), and seems to be fine now. Second part, I agree, and I need to re-read your post on a daily basis. What does anything he says have to do with sex? He grabs a stranger on the street and doesn't let go of their hand - spending a lot of time with women, and being in a number of relationships, I know that if a man was to come up to them on the street and TOUCH them, and hold on to them without letting go, they'd be incredibly uncomfortable to the point of being afraid. That's not something you do to strangers. Second of all, what does he do other than make asinine small talk and put these women o…

I mean, bring awareness to this and keep reflecting. That's all you can do. I think you will settle on something. Maybe you are meeting women who are needy and overly emotional, or irrational. Maybe your threshold for irrationality is very low. I can tell you that I used to have a very shallow outlook on women. If a girl was hot, and not crazy, I'd be into it. Now, it's the complete opposite. The last girl I dated was beautiful, but that wasn't what made me into her. While in the past, I'd say "…

The implication is that sex brings you happiness and that there's something to be gained by having sex with multiple women instead of just one. It sounds to me like you haven't had the experience of having a deep connection with another person, and so, you seek fulfillment from having sex with a bunch of women and keeping distance from ever achieving this connection. I think one thing that's important to point out here is that while you should be able to achieve happiness without another person, there is absolutely nothing wrong with needing validation from other people. In fact, it's a core component of being human. If you are in a relationship, validation is even more important. Being in a relationship without validation is toxic to a human being, because there's always a feeling of unease, concern and lack of security. We as human beings NEED to be seen, …

Be vulnerable. The best thing you can do for yourself is know yourself, know who you are, know what you need and what you want, and don't shy away from it. Share it with everyone. Thanks for the message, I appreciate it. I think I could imagine opening with that in that context, since there's nothing assigned to the situation. Women in particular assign a lot of thoughts, feelings, emotions, past experiences to their relationships, and I believe they are always on the lookout for red flags, in particular if they have value and confidence in themselves. If I say it to a group of strangers, it creates connection because none of them have expectations. What do they care if I…

I've had a similar experience, although mine is I match with a couple 9s and then more 7s and then no one. This is why those pickup videos where they show guys getting girls numbers are so meaningless. If you approach a girl on the street where she's surprised and potentially feeling threatened, she may give her number in the moment and then think "Uh, who was that person?" and not respond. I've never heard it happen honestly, but it makes sense. Also, I don't text girls. I call them. Texting is what everyone does, calling makes you stand out.

So you disagree out of ignorance. Your first problem is suggesting that mindfulness is over thinking, which only shows you don't understand what mindfulness is. You then go on in an attempt to discredit mindfulness (something you don't understand) by assigning it to a potentially controversial figure in hopes of discrediting the original concept. Perhaps you should educate yourself on the value and credibility of something before attempting to smear it.

You're not negative, you're right. OPs advice sounds like alpha bullshit you'd tell a teenager who wants to pick up vapid chicks at a bar. It's beyond frustrating, and even moreso, it's insulting to women. There's so much talk about empowering women, about them taking responsibility for their lives and being equals to men, and yet they won't ask a guy out, or initiate a conversation. I really enjoy playful banter over text, or just talking to someone I'm into, but I don't want to have to make 100% of the effort to communicate. Not because I don't want to put in effort, but because I feel like it should be a 2 way street.

And if you're doing these things with many women who feel uncomfortable with moving that fast physically or can see through bullshit you are going to turn them off and not get anywhere. You have to read the situation. Many, many women need time to feel comfortable with men being physical or talking about sex and not everyone has the ability to generate comfort that fast or a woman may not even be capable of feeling it that fast. These "games" may work on naive girls, but many others will see rig…

It must be nice to be so confident in your generalizations and assumptions. You have no idea what these women were saying, or how they feel. In my experience women are very good at expressing themselves as communication is a huge component of who they are and how they operate. They could not be attracted or it could be a myriad of other issues. Jumping to conclusions and generalizing isn't helpful to OP

It's unlikely it will work but it does. Guy I used to work with was super nerdy and awkward. He searches for some obscure Japanese band he liked on Facebook and this one girl came up and he wrote her and she responded and they dated for 3 years. fwiw he is maybe a 3-4/10 she is a 9/10 on attractiveness scale. It was literally winning the dating lottery. It only happens one in a trillion times. But it's worth a try?

I don't understand what being the buyer means. Many people are uninterested in talking to others, uninterested in sharing, self absorbed, and don't have common social graces. I ask everyone I talk to questions, and many people just answer and don't follow up. It doesn't mean they don't like you, or you've done something wrong, it probably just means they aren't worth your time, or they need more time to warm up before getting to know you.

Yea. I think a lot of men think that having sex with a bunch of chicks somehow will fulfill them, and make them a more confident, and interesting person. It's an empty life, and an empty existence. People who go to clubs only to go home with one woman after another (if they can even get one) are lonely, and missing a piece of who they are. The only point of "seduction" should be to meet quality women who you establish meaningful relationships with. Anything else is just feeding your ego and perp…

Cool. I've done it with 3 girls, and all 3 called me. They were all flattered and appreciative. She sounds like a hard ass and someone I wouldn't want to ask out. Yea I did this once and left my number on the bill and the girl texted me 3 days later. A lot of times not only do you talk yourself out of it but others do too. I saw a cute girl at a coffee shop once and was going to approach. Talked to a girl friend of mine and she said "no way no how she's working". I listened to her. One thing I've learned recently is that if you approach a girl and ask her out she's going to be floored unless you're a troglodyte. Even if she says no you have no idea what's…

From my experience, people on sites like Match/JDate/EHarmony/etc are looking for something more serious. Sites like OkCupid, you can easily find dates and potentially a relationship, but it's a lot harder. Any quality woman is being inundated by so many dudes, it's going to be tough. I hate to be judgmental, but I think you're more likely to make a connection on a free site if you're not as attractive. Also, I don't know if you've been trapped in the 80's, but free dating sites have tons of att…

No, you're wrong and should re-read what I said. Einstein is almost universally correct in everything he has said, which proves out in countless experiments over the past 60 years. Freud has been proven to be almost entirely wrong in everything he ever said. But his legacy is a shaky one. Freud has, for the most part, fallen completely out of favor in academia. Virtually no institution in any discipline would dare use him as a credible source. In 1996, Psychological Science reached the conclusio…

Lots of great points here especially the some girls need you to be nice and others don't. That's huge. My ex had a lot of trauma in her childhood (that came out later in our relationship) and me being nice to her on our first date played a huge part. If I was a cocky dick, she would have never seen me again Attraction being everything is also huge. Some girls want a guy who's 6'3 and all muscle. Many don't. I actually have a great example. This is so silly. I know SO many people that date and marry people they work with. You spend 8-10 hours a day at a place with potentially little time to meet people elsewhere. People only give that advice because sometimes it goes bad, but you could meet a girl anywhere and it will go bad. Meeting a girl at a bar where you work who doesn't work there seems like a pretty safe option.

Tinder is not worth it. People can tell you that it's your attractiveness, but that's a small part of it. I've talked to a number of women who have used Tinder, and they say that it changes you and how you approach human interaction. So explain this to me - I get told often I'm very attractive (I had two women tell me yesterday). I have good quality photos. Every girl I message on Tinder either doesn't respond, or stops responding after a couple messages. I've had girls respond "that was the best message I've ever read", only to stop responding a message or two later. I live in a very large city. What's the explanatino?

Nope, it's not. You said: Well today I straight up held my phone out to her and said "Put your number in my phone" Did you just walk up and do that, or did you talk to her first? Because if you just walked up and did that, congrats, you're a douchebag. If you did that to any self respecting woman, they'd laugh in your face and walk away.

My roommate is reasonably tall, trim, smart, funny, and he's maybe a 4 or 5 in attractiveness and since working on his confidence he dates attractive women. He brought home a girl the other night from a bar who was super cute. I think you must either be having bad luck or doing something wrong.
/r/seduction26/04/14 03:53 PM

Feel the same way. I live in a major city and notice almost every time I go out (concerts, bars, etc) there are never girls there alone. Ever. Sit at a bar by yourself, there's 2 girls there. Go to a concert and all the girls are with dudes (friends or otherwise). I think the only place I do see girls alone is at the gym or yoga, and most people don't want to be approached at a gym. Even at parks, most girls are with people.
/r/seduction24/04/14 01:39 PM
7

So I'm curious if anyone has any insight on this. I did a little calculation... let's say you live in a big city and there's 50,000 guys on Tinder. If an attractive woman is on there (7+), let's say 20% of the men find her attractive. That means 10,000 guys are going to swipe yes. Does that mean if I'm 10,001 that swipes yes, I have to wait for the girl to swipe through 10,000 other dudes to get to me? If so, does that mean that I have absolutely no chance of ever matching with attractive women …

Ok, but why do people have to conform to the way you want to conduct your physical exercise? What if someone doesn't want to be on a team? Or they just want to work out and be alone and be in their own thoughts? Finding people to play Rugby with, or another sport, can be a pain, and even if you can organize something, you can only do it what, once a week? I can work out 6 days a week with minimal effort.

You're totally off base. Not only do you look good you FEEL good by regular exercise. It releases mood enhancing chemicals that make you feel calm, healthy and confident. Also, eating healthy doesn't mean you will look good or be in shape or else every vegetarian would be fit, which is not true.

How do you convey to a woman that you're sexually open and good in bed, without being overt about it? That's always been a struggle for me. So many girls seem put off by sex talk, and insinuation of sex. They are out there, but I rarely find them. There's a lot of girls who slut shame themselves, and it's depressing. I'd say of all the women I've had sex with, maybe 15% have really been open and wild in bed. Many say "I'm a very sexual person" and proceed to just lay there in bed. The last girl …

Definitely not saying you shouldn't date multiple women. I date a lot of women, but I rarely find women I really want to have a serious relationship with. When I do, I get excited, I get invested. Honestly, other girls become uninteresting and insignificant when I meet someone I really like. So while I may still go out with them, my mind is on that one girl. Ok so you create an abundance of options and opportunity, how does that make you emotionally detached? If you're looking to fuck 100 women, that's great, but if you're looking for something serious, how do you emotionally detatch from that? I like that idea, and it's something I need to ponder more, but I find it hard to believe that I could say to a girl (or an intelligent girl) that she was anorexic, and she'd find it funny. I'd have to see this done in person to get a good understanding to be honest. So I watched the video of how to make a girl think you're awesome. I wanted to shut it off after 2 minutes. "If a girl says you're fat, respond that she's so skinny, that's she's anorexic". Really? I don't see a subtle reference here. Or the "Say you're old and wrinkly and do you feel the wrinkles?" I don't see what he's trying to say here with those examples. Tinder is the worst app for dating in the world. If you ever match with people, 90% don't respond. Of the 10% who do, 8% flake. You have little to nothing to talk about, you know nothing about the person, and the fact that it's over the internet (which implies that the conversation is slow and jilted most of the time) thus impeding connection. For perspective: I rejoined OkCupid yesterday and was rated 5 stars by 51 girls in 12 hours. I didn't do anything (view people, contact them, etc). I just…

I don't know if this helps, but I think people put WAY too much emphasis on what they need to say to a person to "woo" them. Yes, but you are referring to THIS situation. You cannot predict how a woman will respond. 10 other girls might have said "Fuck yes", or at least said "Tell me your name first" instead of running away. If a chick is ballsy enough to walk up to you from across the club and start kissing you, she's up for something. He just got unlucky with this girl. Makes me think she was probably very young.

This is crazy, as I JUST talked to a friend about this an hour ago. This is actually common knowledge for people who have studied human behavior. If you talk slowly, and thoughtfully, and project respect for what you are saying, other people will respect what you have to say in return. I appreciate your comment; I've never really thought about it that way. I guess you're right, if a woman is kissing you that's just a natural progression to the next stage. I think for me, though, I struggle with moving to the next stage when there isn't a natural progression, which I guess you could say is me struggling to be able to move things forward with words instead of just non-verbal cues. It's dangerous to give a girl your number, as many times it won't work. They'll take it, but you won't hear from them because they feel it's the guys responsibility to call/text. I met a girl in line at a Radio Lab show, and we hit it off, and I gave her my business card. I saw her again after the show, and she came bounding up to me and asked me what I thought.
