A lot of the basic approach strategy I have seen on Seddit recently has been that it really isn’t that important/ say anything/ 3 second rule/ be confident/ numbers game/ smile/ eye contact. Don’t get me wrong, these are all good things for a solid base, however, there are several things you can do to improve your odds of getting better attraction right from the get go. Below I will map out three things; two from two of the top PUAs and one from general knowledge (I couldn't find a source, but I didn’t come up with it) that will help out in the first 5 to 10 seconds of any approach to increase attraction. I’ve personally field tested all of them and they most definitely work.

1) Pre-Framing a direct opener – Day Game Sasha PUA

Probably the most famous day game PUA, Sasha has mastered the Pre-Frame. The Pre-Frame is a statement that elicits an emotional/intrigued response from the target before a direct statement of intent. For instance, he will say, “Don’t panic! I’m not here to sell you anything! I just wanted to stop and tell you that you are absolutely gorgeous.” What this does is

a) Captures the attention of the target

b) Creates anticipation for the coming statement

c) Produces an atmosphere that will allow a statement of intent to come across as genuine or unique

If you simply walked up and laid a bomb on her right then and there it could potentially startle her, thus creating a shaky conversation from the start. Here, you are able to ease your way in to a direct statement and build anticipation, and as they say, “The anticipation is the best part.”

Granted, I’m not the biggest fan of Sasha, but this shit is gold. If you have no IOIs from the target, this is a pretty safe and sturdy way to go if you want to go super direct. I would only use this on days though, but it could potentially work in bars, I’d rather use…

2) Forcing IOI’s – Richard La Ruina “Gambler”

This is probably my favorite approach strategy because of how much attraction you are able to generate just off the get go. Let’s say you are in a bar or club and a female creates eye contact with you, thus giving you an IOI. What do you do?

a) Smile, look away, and approach later

b) Send her over a drink

c) Approach and begin talking

d) Create tension with her from across the room while making your approach

I think the answer is clear, but let me elaborate on what it means (D in case you missed it). “Forcing an IOI” means you have received eye contact and you make a gesture that clearly demonstrates you have received and are reciprocating the IOI, thus forcing an interaction. For instance, this may be raising your glass to her, pointing at her, playing peek-a-boo behind your hands playfully acting like you’re shy, shooting her, or my personal favorite the gladiator thumbs up/ thumbs down routine (always thumbs up of course). Then you immediately approach. What will this do? Well, it illustrates that you are confident, don’t hesitate, and sets a great entrance for the conversation. You can immediately play off your forced IOI, or move straight into something generic like, “How’s it going?” because the attraction has already been created.

3) Frame Destroyer

Note Only do this if you have solid pre-selection

Let’s say you walk up to a girl and you are really feeling it. You have hit “GodMode” and you simply can’t lose, but there is a girl who doesn’t give two shits about who you are and she is shutting out everyone in the bar or at the party. It’s time to destroy her frame by picking her up. No literally, pick her up in the air. Open her up using something that will generate a yes or no response “Do you like turtles?” “Did you brush your teeth today?” “Do you like the Orioles?” If she says yes pick her up and celebrate, if she says no then (playfully) mess up her hair and tell her you will teach her about life. This takes her completely out of her reality and into yours and utilizes really strong Kino, thus putting you in charge of the interaction.

This goes the same for randomly walking up and swing/ salsa dancing with a girl where no one else is dancing. I like to think of this as high risk-high reward, and the more comfortable the girl is in her environment the more effective a frame destroyer will be. If you pick up a really insecure girl in the air, is she going to respond well? Hell no. She will look around the room and wonder if anyone else was watching and shun you. If you walk up to a secure girl and pick her up in the air, you will put her down and she will flirt by hitting you on the arm then trying to figure out who the hell you are. Calibrate this correctly and it will be a good addition to the arsenal. Just don’t use it every single time.
