I won’t go into much detail about myself or my past to keep this as succinct as I can, since field reports tend to be long by nature but will answer any questions.

Tuesday night, 18+ college bar.

Went out alone, friends felt like staying in. I no longer drink.

Chilled at bar area for a bit. Still have some approach anxiety until I open first (Pretty much no anxiety in set anymore). A girl grabs my bicep hard and tells me I look angry. Guess I have a serious face when I’m not joking and dancing and laughing with friends.

She wasn’t attractive, her friends joke that we’re in love, I’m not flirty with her bc don’t want to lead her on. I make friends with her and a couple of her guy friends.

I open a hot girl with “Hey I want to meet you.” She repeats it as a question then turns away to the bar to order a drink.

One of my new friends offers to introduce me to her (college bar, everyone knows everyone), we exchange names and it ends at that.

The next 5 or so girls I approached responded pretty much the same way (same opener, or if we bumped into each other/made eye contact long enough I’d just introduce myself).

I’d say “hey I want to meet you” they’d exchange name (if even, once a girl just shaked no) and then immediately turn away to their friends. In 2 cases I pushed further: “Hey come here, come here! (Playful tone, laughing)” got a shake of the head, weird “what a creep looks” from her and her friends, and hand in the face.

After that I just left the bar. Was experimenting with being slightly less direct and miles less bold than I can be. Didn’t seem to matter.

Typical night. I open a lot of girls but don’t get in a conversation, and if I do it’s usually with one that is 1) less attractive than me 2) drunk 3) Horny and ready to hook up with any guy, in which case the interaction is hollow and meaningless.

If anyone thinks that I was being too timid or boring or w/e, I’ve been on every part of the spectrum from boring to extreme.

On the extreme end I’ve opened girls by telling them I’ve never hugged a midget before, asked them if they’ve seen my daughter, pushed guy they were with off saying “this is a robbery motherfucker (I knew he wasn’t a boyfriend),” etc.

Hooks some girls and I’ve made out with girls pretty quickly after stuff like this, but it destroys comfort the second they have space to think, pisses off the friends, and results in a lot of alienation and gossiping (bad kind).
