.....when a girl is acting disinterested when she was interested before .....flakes on you on a date...... .....If she ignores you..... .....If she starts talking to another guy...... If she mentions it to say sorry, tell her it's no big deal because you just called up a buddy or friend and went with them instead.

One of the biggest problems we have here on Seddit is that too many guys treat abusive and/or manipulative behavior as if it's all just something to overcome, and that the guy still needs to get in there or "he fucked up"
Even if getting in there requires giving the girl a pass while she's acting foul.

Now to play devil's advocate here, often a fragile ego will distort the following things:
Insecurity will often lead to distrust and the assumption that the girl has some sort of angle when she might not.
All this said though, we have to make sure we are seeing as clearly as possible and not reading extra meaning into things, while also not giving up our self-respect and putting up with mistreatment.
It's more than just "how do I get in there?" It should also be, "should I even be trying to get in there?"
If a girl requires you to change yourself into a manipulative person just to get at her, she's not worth it.

I think the point of OP's post was to not take it too hard when something doesn't work out. Appearing unfazed is attractive. That's what I got out of it and I think it's an important reminder to those who struggle with an easily bruised ego or feelings.

I think the point of OP's post was to not take it too hard when something doesn't work out.
I'd agree with that. Anyone would?
But that's not what OP said. The phrasing was vague enough to leave plenty of room for the interpretation some newbs will make, that when the girl is doing manipulative things, it doesn't disqualify her, it's just something to game around.
The core of the post was good, and I realize you didn't intend to advocate for anyone putting up for abuse, etc. But I've been here for years now and posts like this unfortunately lead to messes weeks or months later.
We have to strive to be clearer.
Plus, OP muddied the waters a bit more in a subsequent comment, saying:
.....everyone manipulates to some degree. That's practically what seduction is.
Which lands a little more on the assumption that people are just going to be manipulative to it should be accepted.
Only, not everyone is manipulative. Some people are straight forward. And when people go into social interactions assuming that everyone is inherently manipulative, it can lead to unintentionally screening out non-manipulative people.

Spot on. Contrary to the mod's interpretation, I'm not telling you to put up with someone's bullshit or ill treatment of you. I'm telling you to react in a more productive way that may potentially have you leaving the interaction in your favor.

I feel like OP was just making a point to say, your the only one who should be able to control your emotions. He’s not saying if she rejects you 2 times to just act unfazed and ask her out until she says yes, but rather treat it as something that wasn’t personal, and no big deal. It was more of a way to just control yourself and not get all pissed off when things don’t go your way.

That's where you and I differ. Lots of people in life will be a waste of time and not worth it. That's why you look for the signs and dont persue anything serious with them. However, while you are of the opinion of "should I even be trying to get in there?," my take on it is why shouldnt i be trying to get in there? Also, everyone manipulates to some degree. That's practically what seduction is.

First off, just checking in that you're not assuming an attack where none is intended.
That's where you and I differ.
Where, exactly?
However, while you are of the opinion of "should I even be trying to get in there?," my take on it is why shouldnt i be trying to get in there?
This is an unintentional distortion of my stance.
My point was that too many guys around here always approach a girl they're pursuing from the point of view of, "How can I get in there?" to the point that:
It often reaches the point of insecurity and neediness. That's not healthy. Hence the notion that guys ought to be considering more often whether the girl before them fits their standards, and that they actually have standards at least a smidge higher than, "She's hot."
Also, everyone manipulates to some degree. That's practically what seduction is.
If we wanted to get really picky, everyone wants something and we could categorize any aspect of a social interaction as "manipulative."
But there's a huge difference between someone takes and takes and doesn't give, versus someone who offers an exchange that enriches both people (whether we're talking about a fling or something serious).
All seduction is manipulation

Real question is why do I have a notification for this thread why is it in my activity. Weird.

but why play these games tho? you can't expect anything serious from someone who plays this save yourself the trouble.
