Ask her why she is taking the class, how long she has been going to school there? if its around the same time as yourself you could say something sly like "oh, wow, im surprised this is the first time i've ran into you (hinting at she is someone that stands out to you). this kind of small talk should naturally lead into other things, like what her major/minor is, maybe where she went to high school or why she chose the particular school. if you make small talk about the immediate surroundings, it should expand into otherworldly things. biggest piece of advice: be yourself and just be her friend in the beginning just like you would when seeking a male friend (as in don't make it obvious that you are immediately interested in pursuing intimate relations). good luck!

Pay attention to the little things. Look what clothing she has on. Let's say she's a dancer, talk about that. You can even say, "Oh, you're a dancer, then you must be a very out-going person. Blah blah blah."

People LOVE to talk about themselves. That's all they think about all day is themselves (most of the time). Find something she likes and be GENUINELY interested in her. It'll help you ask more questions and connect.

Context, context, context!

Is the class interesting or boring?

Two of my experiences:

I was taking a boring class (statistics) and this HB9 was seating next to me, I started making fun of the professor, she bought it into it, we escalated, we were laughing and having fun. It was a night class 3 hours with a 10 min break. Before the break I proposed to her to cut at the break and go for drinks. We ended up doing vodka shots then back to her place. I aced the class, she dropped it.
I was taking a very interesting class (Master's Degree), and there was this HB8, very very cute. I made sue she and I were in the same study group together, to make a long story short she became my second wife ;-)

It can be done, connect with her within the context of the class AND on a personal level, create rapport, demonstrate value, invite to chill together outside class

I was in the same situation. Not to mention that a guy kept cock blocking me/kept talking to her. We need to support each other. Just saw the YouTube video and the follow up article. Definitely let me know how this goes. I plan to try it out on Monday.
