I’ll try be concise. I need some advise.

I was fairly good with women, then found myself in a 5 year LTR that ended very badly and it took me a while to recover. Dated for a while and then developed onitis on a close friend of 3 years. I learned from reading here that I failed on a few points: Never made a move when she showed interest, I focused only on her and didn’t work on myself. It was a disaster, I slowly faded away and now I have zero contact with her.

After my LTR ended, I had become depressed, fat, out of shape and didn’t realize it. I hit the gym, now I’m less than 15lbs from my goal weight. I’ve been building muscle, dressing better and generally doing better in life. I’m casually dating a really hot girl who is cool, but I don’t think there’s a future. I’m hooking up with a few others as well and just having fun. I’m well over the onitis but I won’t lie to you guys or myself that I would love to have a second try with her.

Recently the onitis girl said to a mutual friend how she really misses me. That got me thinking, can I give it a second try? I’m nowhere near as invested as I was, I have multiple options with other girls, I’m in better shape having lost weight and lifting has made me look better, plus I'm dressing nicer. I’m having fun. My career is also doing really well. Overall, I’m in a much, much better place.

We were close and had a great connection, yes, I fucked it up, but I’m thinking I can try again at some point.

I gave up the girl and moved on. I did what had to be done. Now I’ve made material changes that I made for me and I want to try again. I’m asking advice on how best to proceed. I don’t want to start again and have things pickup where we left off. I don’t know how to do that. If it goes bad again, I know the door to take.

I know some will just say continue to let it go. I respect that. However, I’m asking for advise on how to try again with me being in a better place, happier, healthier and more attractive to women than I was.

Thanks.
