I'm working as a counsellor at a summer camp in California this summer. I'll be there for roughly 9 weeks, with a few weeks left after for travel up the West Coast. I thought i'd try and glean some advice from any American's, or Brit's, on how to pick up American girls. To bare in mind, i'm a bit of late bloomer to the pick up game; in that i've only started recently.

So, I have a few questions (my early apologies if I get any terms messed up):

  • What are the glaring differences between picking up girls in the USA when compared to the UK. Any 'no-go' areas humour/culture-wise?

  • Where are the best places to pick up women? i'm looking for a variety of potential locations as i'm aware i'll be unable to drink legally in the States.

  • I'll admit i've done some early reconnaissance on counsellor's working at the camp... one really stood out to me like a sore thumb. So what do you recommend I do to try and lock her down once at camp? I feel like most of the guys at camp will be in better shape than me but I may win on the accent front...
