I was writing out a rather lengthy post to r/AskSeddit earlier today about a girl I'm into, but there are complications, and blah blah blah blah. Upon writing this diatribe about my seemingly complex situation, the very simple solution seemed obvious - ASK HER OUT.
That's not the point of this post, (although it's a damn good thing to remember). The point is to remind you how invaluable journaling can be in these tough-call scenarios. Write your problem out, read it over, and give yourself advice like you were writing a goddamn "Dear Abby" column.
We're all critical thinkers here, which is why many of us are here in the first place. We analyze to the point of paralysis due to the anxiety that comes with being trapped in our own skin. But if our gift is analysis, why not use it? Get your crap on paper and analyze. It's the best way to look from the outside in.
