KISS - Keep It Simple Stupid

Avoid anything but in person communication as much as possible. This will both increase your value (you will seem like a more busy man, which is sometimes REALLY great) and will help you with a more sexual vibe if you do your in person communication well. (Her longing for you and you being sexual will work great in your advantage).

i can help with this one - my ex was German and her english was no good when she arrived in australia. avoid phone calls, because she probably finds it really hard to understand you over the phone. textings good, and also facebook chat, its a good replacement for talking on the phone and plus it gives her time (or you, depending on which language you are communicating in) to process and write the correct thing.

make sure you are understood, but dont be patronising about it. If theres a joke or something 'lost in translation' dont over explain it like she's 2. I suffered this problem, she was a lot smarter than me, and because initially her english wasnt great i kind of forgot she was very smart and over explained shit that she already knew.

so speak slowly, but don't make her feel like an idiot. make sure shes comfortable asking you what a particular word means, or whatever. It's ok, i think, to giggle at a particularly bad english phrase she might say, but be sure not to make a massive deal, and make sure you correct it. (i never really learned this until i went to germany and then i'd say something in german and people would openly laugh at me and ask me to say it again - its real fucking embarrassing and makes me not want to try and say new things)

considering spoken words account for only about 7% of communication, its not that much of a stretch. one thing that was cool - if conversation was struggling, I would always asked her what a certain word meant, or how to say it in german, or ask what's different about germany and australia, etc. so the things you may lack in both speaking the same language fluently you can make up for in other ways.

When i traveled last, to Austria, i met another girl whos english was even worse than my ex's, like real bad. because of my 'practice' with my ex, we got on really well, and i ended up staying at her house for a week and sleeping together every night, it was a real cool part of the trip. We both had the same passions and outlooks on life, and it really showed on her face when she was speaking. like even though i could barely understand what she was saying, her non-verbal communication was so that i felt a real connection with her.
