Pick Up Artists offer a service to those that need to build confidence and for someone with basic social skills they can know when to draw the line in an interaction. However; some people are not equiped with that intuition.

I bring this up because I witnessed a man harass a new mother with her baby then follow and harass another woman home and try to boss his way into her apartment building. This was in the span of 15 minutes. When he slumped away, defeated, his "mentor" scurried out from the alley way, patted him on the back and said "You'll ony get 1 out of ten of them!" At that point I knew it was a pick up artist scenario. When I heard the "student" speak it was really obvious that he was under the regular mental capabilities of the average person.

My point is that I wouldn't usually worry about pick up artists or their students. It's just part of life in the area I live in and the locals know how to deal with them. But there is a Pick Up Artist in my area that is preying on recruiting students that are mentally handicapped. This, as it should all of us, disgusts me.

I know that who ever is taking on students like this won't be stopped just by me calling the police when his students break the law so I'm asking this community to have some empathy and stop this situation and other situations like this from happening. If you see this happening or know of the person recruiting students in the Vancouver area that are mentally challenged please talk to the pick up artist, the student, report the pick up artist to the police or all of the above.
