To begin with, I'm a 17-year-old boy and not a native English speaker, so I'm really sorry for upcoming grammar mistakes.

About half a year ago, I met an attractive girl the same age through one of my friends and we immediately became interested in each other because of having many interests and personal values in common. After a while, we started to do french kisses because we felt the need to do it seeing all the other couples in the group kissing, too, but we both felt that it was too early yet to come that close. I was quiet unexperienced back then, but gave my best to handle the kisses the best I could. I think it's important to mention that everytime we met, we were in a group of 5 or 6 people. There was one time when I managed to arrange somewhat of a date by having a nice jog with her. She has a gift for sports, but let herself go a bit last year. It was really refreshing because we had a great time and got to know each other better. Incidentally, she was devoted to a 21-year-old dude which she met during a summer trip last year and with whom she managed to sleep. Afterwards, he treated her really disgusting. I gained this information from one of her friends. What's more, I was a little bit needy all the time due to my lack of (sexual) experience which I realised only months later. I stated her that I'm not in the mood for her hot-and-cold behavior. She friendzoned me, so we went our own paths. I deleted her number due to being lovelorn and some emotional belts later, my journey of self-improvement began.

I started to read lots of helpful Reddit posts and more books in general. After gaining an insight into Mark Manson's Models, I learned so much of myself and are tremendously grateful for his work. It's by far one of the best books I've ever read in my entire life. Eating healthier to intensify my workout results and improving my piano, guitar, singing, but also social skills became priorities in my life. I also donated some money to Paul Walker's ROWW which was one of the things I wanted to do for the last few months. Additionally, cold showers and being aware of my Johnny helped me to get over approach anxiety. Being bold as brass, I met more of my friends, came to know new people and started to flirt with any interesting girl. This was the trigger to enjoy the little things in life. Finally, I successfully finished my exam and right now, I'm saving money for a solo backpacking trip to Thailand this summer.

I changed for the better. Now, it becomes interesting. Two months ago, our group of friends met in a bar to have a good time. She was there, too, and I realised that she was emotionally unwell. Later, one of my female friends mentioned that she has problems with all the stressful school work and that she's in despair not having a boyfriend while other girls do. Moreover, she was the first to leave this evening.

I empathically noticed how she must have felt. So I thought that it might be a good idea to write an anonym letter to her and leave it in her family's letter box. I tried to encourage her to hold on to her dreams and wishes, to trust in herself and to not allow anyone bringing her down. "There are times when you should listen to your heart". Rounded it off with a smiley. A few days later, she unblocked me in Whatsapp and sent me a message that she was very delighted and assumed it was me. Apparently, she knows that I'm good at coldreading. I didn't answer because I had a lot of work to do and wanted this riddle to be unsolved until I eventually meet her in person.

Yesterday, all of the city's graduates celebrated the passing of our exams in one of the biggest parks in town. Besides my schoolmates, I met many of my old friends from other schools and we had a great time. Suddenly, a girl grabbed me from behind and covered my eyes with her soft fingers. I know this is a weird one, but I could smell that it was her. Back in time, we had heavy make-outs and I remembered the smell of her curly hairs. Actually, I was surprised that she was there because she will pass her exam only next year, but anyway, many people brought their friends with them. She was very glad to see me and hugged me for a long time. After asking me whether I wrote the letter, I answered with a sly smile if it was really that obvious. Hell, you should have seen the sparkles in her eyes. Afterwards, she hugged me way longer and kissed me on the cheek. She told me that it was one of the most beautiful things in her life and that she nearly cried reading my letter. Being in a rush with a friend, I didn't have much time to talk, said sorry and went to my other buddies and their friends. I just treated her like a friend. Later, she saw me again and sticked to me like wax. After a few hours, I left the party with a friend and went home. From that moment, we didn't have any further communication.

It's really an interesting relationship with this girl and honestly, I'm really open about how the relationship will develop over time. However, I'm perfectly happy with my progress and want to thanks everyone here on this subreddit (and also the other subreddits regarding self-improvement) for your encourage in helping other people with their lives. A special thanks to Mark Manson who opened my eyes in many ways and from whom I learned important life lessons. Finally, a huge thanks to all of you.

TL;DR: Interesting relationship with a girl led me to start improving myself. Reddit helped me in maturing and changing my life. Became more confident in my identity, actions and moreover, myself. Girl started to show signs of attraction again. Unsure how the relationship ends, but I'm proud of whom I have become. Fortunately, it was just the beginning of a glorious path in my life.

EDIT: Corrected some grammar mistakes and added more detailed information here and there. However, I wouldn't have thought to see so many kind responses, thank you folks!
