It was recommended I come here

First let me say I'm not a virgin. I attract women and get approached or "opened" by women even. But I'm so down on myself I just recoil and ignore them.

Inside, I think i'm just a fat loser. Ironically, it started when I started bettering myself. I've lost weight, became more muscular and become more healthy. I've taken my life into control a little better and cut the negative people out entirely. I've worked on my health and well-being and began trying to make myself a more well-rounded person no fat pun intended.

As I got better looking, lost weight, and gained attraction.. I somehow got MORE self conscious of myself.

February 2013 was the last time I even tried to talk to a woman. She approached me. She wanted my number. She was touching me. She was guiding me to compliment her by saying things like "I should have dressed up more". I couldn't kiss her as she leaned in. Fuck, idk what she even saw in me, I asked her 3 times "why are you talking to a fat guy like me? You could have anyone here". This not only threw her off but she said "You're not fat" at this point I didn't believe a goddamn thing she said about anything.

After that I couldn't look at her. Couldn't respond to her. Couldn't talk to her.

I had more confidence when I was almost 400lbs than I do now that I'm 290lbs.

How can I get over my self-loathing? At this point I'm still getting looks. I'm still getting approached. I'm still getting stared at... But I just shy away, because I'm not happy with myself anymore.
