Alright so, it's about 14:40 PM, I'm standing at my store's door just chilling enjoying the sun, when suddenly I spot a nice blondie (HB1) walking down the street, I look at her and then realize I've seen her before around the block many times. Around this point, she and the girl she's with (HB2) look at me too. I hold eye contact with HB1 and when she's a few meters away I say "Hey what's up!". HB1 stops, turns her whole body towards me and starts talking to me holding eye contact. I then notice that HB2 is identical to her, so I'm like, "Hey, wait up. Who of you two is the one that buys here?". HB1 says "Oh no, I never shop in this store". I crank a lame joke and say "Why, you got something against me?" (I emphasize an "offend" tone of voice). Anyways, they both laugh at my stupid joke, they mention they live right around the block, and I proceed and say "Wait, you two are THE SAME. You're twins!" and so I take the opportunity to X-ray scan both of them with my eyes and repeat it "Seriously, you're twins".

HB1 says "Ohh no we're sisters, 2 years difference". I mention another joke about how similar they look, nothing like me and my brother (who was inside the store). I ask what ages who's older, HB2 says I'm 16 she's 18, HB1 asks me how old I am, I say "Ohh cool, I complete the scale! 16-17-18". They laugh yet again surprisingly and the conversation completely died out. I spend a few seconds holding eye contact with HB1, and since I really didn't know how to continue I said "Well, go along your way" or something like that.

Things done right:

  • Took leadership in the conversation. They totally flowed with whatever I said.

  • Fuckaload of confidence while talking, dominant eye contact, open body language. I was in a slightly more comfortable position than they were (leaning on the door, they were just standing on the sidewalk).

  • Got a few laughs and giggles.

Things done wrong:

  • As soon as the introduction died out (who's who, how old, etc.) I couldn't find anything situational to continue the conversation, therefore ejected.

How would you have continued it? Anything you'd like to mention?

Edit: I've got a feeling that HB1 is coming back one of these days to the store... Way too much eye contact, a small grin when I told them to go on... How would you play it out?
