I'm M29.

Okay - so I'm five months out of a 5 year relationship (she ended it), I've had sex once since then and got with a handful of girls. To be completely honest though, they've all been of a lower standard than I normally would go for, but my confidence has been so low since the split, that I feel it's good to do in order to boost my self-esteem.

Anyway, I've been messaging this girl and have met up with her a couple of times, we've hooked up but never fucked - she's so desperate for it though and has told me multiple times. I've held back for a couple of reasons:

1) I'm slightly nervous about sex again now, for some reason

2) She isn't normally the type of girl I would be attracted to

I guess my question is, should I just start fucking her and allow my confidence to boost up and then when it's back to normal, I'll be able to move on to people who I'm much more attracted to.

Don't get me wrong, this girl is really nice and we are friends - we've also spoken about this whole fuck buddy thing - in fact, she suggested it and doesn't want a relationship.

What do you guys think? I'm so desperate to have sex again and this is right there on a plate for me. I feel like the longer I wait, the more I'll keep missing my ex, and I really don't want that anymore.

This is purely about sex and not about bottling up my emotions or filling the void - it's just to start having sex again. I need it.
