tldr: We make excuses in our head. Block out the excuses and just go for it.

I was at the train station when I saw a HB 9 on the phone. Not one to interrupt, I walked over to her and waited. She still didn't get off the phone. A minute later she walked off.

I went to a table and sat. 10 minutes later I saw her again and she just got off the phone. She had the biggest resting bitch face, and was full of makeup. In my mind I had summed her up as a complete bitch.

Bored, I decided to approach her anyway. Surprisingly, when I approached she was very receptive and nice. She said thanks but she has a boyfriend. I left, surprised my analysis of her was so dead wrong.

Lesson learned: Don't judge people. Always approach. Calibrate after the fact. Block out the excuses in your head. Attack your fears.
