Hello all, 24M here. So long story short, on Saturday night went to a family dinner + hangout at my uncles house to celebrate my female cousin bday. She had brought a few of her co workers and one of them was very cute and definitely was my type. We had good conversations going but then, because I tend to get shy and nervous around girls I find attractive, I would end up running out of things to say so then I would stay as present in the moment as I could (while acknowledging how I felt but not paying attention to my feelings or thoughts) and socialize with the family to calm my nerves down. I had decided to myself at one point I wanted to make my intentions known and ask for her socials, unfortunately I did not and wussed out 😂. I terribly regretted it but of course stayed as positive as I could and simply just learning what I could’ve done better and moving on.

I had ended up asking my cousin if she was single (which she is) and got her Instagram from her which I then followed her and said “Hey it’s (my name), (cousins name) cousin, was nice meeting you the other night. I had wanted to ask you before I left but I fumbled tbh lol but was wondering if you’re single cause I want to get to know you better”

Let me know your guys/girls thoughts and takes on this and any advice is greatly appreciated. The regret I felt was extremely overwhelming so I figured I’d at least try another way and honestly I feel a lot better now I shoot my shot. She hasn’t responded yet but I’m just going about it not expecting anything and knowing if whatever happens is supposed to be. Plus that side of my family lives kinda far so I don’t see them often so even if I get rejected I may not see her again anyways haha.
