I think you have the right to ask her but just make sure to tell her that it's out of curiosity/ just so that you know. It's important not to make her feel like she has to come up with an excuse just because she's simply not interested in you and thinks you can't take it. Yet I think if it's a scheduling issue/ because she doesn't have time at the moment she would say so if she's interested in you.

The way I see it, if she says no, she has a reason to say no. if it's a scheduling issue, you still could potentially date, if it's a internal issue on your part, you've got constructive criticism, if she doesnt find you attractive, it is her fault

Bottom line, it's not an unreasonable question, and she will have an answer for you.

You can certainly ask. What do you have to lose? Just say, "Do you mind if I ask why?" If they get uncomfortable, you can try and say "I understand it's hard because you're scared of hurting my feelings, but anything you can tell me would be helpful from a feedback standpoint for the future."

When this happens, I normally just tease. For example, there was a girl that I was texting and she joked about operating a Russian XXX cam site. So when she said she couldn't make it to a date, I responded with "ah, got a fat horny lonely man waiting for you online tonight?" She laughed and then then went on to explain the true reason, which was fine by me. But it helped to keep with the generally playful tone of conversation that we had been having.

if i ask her on date and she says no, then is it appropriate to ask her why?

Of course it is, but don't expect anything you can work with to come from that. If she is not interested, what will this tell you, other than something you already know, that she is not interested? Even if she tells you: "you are not my type" or "you have blonde hair, but i like it black" what will it accomplish?

i mean i want to know if she is busy or having any issue that i might help or anything.

Funny enough i had a rejection like this just a few weeks ago. Got the number of a interesting waitress, texted her for a game of pool, she said "no, sorry" and i asked her if she is not interested or simply has no time that day.

She didn't reply, so i told her that i am aware that she is used to being hit on constantly, and that most guys won't take a rejection lightly, but i have a different approach to it, Sure, she's hot, but beauty is common. For me to want more than friendship, she has to live up to my standards. She then told me she had a boyfriend, and i made clear that i would not mind to see her as a friend (always remember, hot girls have hot girlfriends that are available!), and if she's cool with that, she can hit me up.

You probably see where this is going, she thanked me for my open words and i never heard from her again. I am cool with this, since it took me about 10 minutes of time to know if she was a waste of time, since she was not even interested in friendship, it was nice that i knew.

So long story short: Think of what you expect from her telling you why she rejected you. If it's to not waste time, tell her straight up that you find her attractive but you have no problem with the rejection since there are enough hot girls for you to pursue.
