If you're looking to date and conversations are running their course that to me means you're not yet meeting the people and having the conversations you want.

I talk to girls I'm interested in pretty much daily. Text is a convenient way to have random conversations.

Girls from dating apps tend to flake/ghost more often that other girls. It’s common unfortunately.

You have to find a balance. Some girls will next you to text more before they are comfortable enough to go on a date. Other will be more eager to meet up after exchanging a handful of messages. You have to learn to get a feel for it.

Always ask girls on date as soon as possible and don’t tell girls the most interesting things about yourself over text save those things for the date.

Yes texting is only for setting up dates, until you’ve had sex. You can ask a question if you haven’t talked for a few days and show that you care but you should be focused on the date, texts are not for conversations if you don’t really know them or haven’t had sex with them yet. Make a plan with a time date and place, then a “Great see you then!” Then GET OFF THE PHONE.

dude my take always has been that a lot of dudes keep girls busy by either sliding in her DMs or constantly playing the nice guy from work.

Now knowing this she is being kept busy and bored at the same time. Meanwhile you be working and enjoying your life and make her wait for the day she'd be actually enjoying with you ;)

It seems things are very different depending on which country you live in lol Here in Scotland, we txt whenever we want to. We use it as a way to flirt before we see each other next... Mostly! Some folk just aren't great txters.

I think though that there's a slight mystery kept between you both if there isn't a load of txting before the next date, so long as you check in with the person the day before to make sure it's still on & they know you've not lost interest, I don't see the harm in minimal txting.

For me, texting is usually just for setting up dates. I fear saying something that may be a total turn off to her and might make her want to cancel dating me. If you feel the need to reply, wait at least 1 or 2 hours to reply to her text messages. This way, the convo won't run dry too soon. It'll be a slow and on going convo for days while waiting for the day if your date with her.

For example:

You (at 1:00 PM): Can you keep a secret?

Her (at 1:09 PM): Depends how juicy it is.

You saw what she said in the text notification but you go a couple hours without opening up the text message and replying to her. You're building anticipation. You've got her wondering. You're possibly going to get a double text out of her and that's a plus. That's what you want. So you wait a few hours..

Her (at 3:05PM): So... What's your secret?

At this point, you last texted her at 1PM.

You (at 3:45):
