Joined a running club a year ago and I had brief chit chats with numerous members. One girl in particular I found cute. She was very friendly and approachable and showed signs that she was interested.I’m very chill, no need to get a number quickly cause I know I’ll see her again. Haven’t seen her in 1 month when last week all of a sudden she’s there and I caught her directly looking at me and smiling. For me that’s a green light to get her digits. So we chit chat and I say “ hey you seem interesting let’s hangout. Enthusiastically she says yes and gives me her number and then tells me to hit her up. Text her 2 days later with an introductory text.Hey how’s it going (name)? Hope your not to sore for your last run? Absolutely no response after a week. At this point I’m wondering if I didn’t enter the right number in my cell. no biggie I’ll see her again,which I do and after a quick friendly hi I I ask her if she got my text? She answered oh sorry yes I did but I’m been busy at work. Lol I say oh ok understand and walk away. I immediately deleted her contact info. Ya I moved on but trying to understand why do women do this? If they are not interested or available why couldn’t she just say “ hm sorry have a boyfriend “ I gave my power away twice to her in asking for her number and asking if she got my text after 1 week passed cause I was genuinely perplexed after she showed interest. I never doubled texted her and always was chill with her? Yes I know women ghost or play games but she really had me fooled in her interest level and friendliness I never misread anyone to this degree. Was she just playing games or seeking validation? I want to be able to spot these time wasters or validation seekers in the future.
