I’ve found that watching Ted talks the night before a first date can be very beneficial. If there’s a lull in the conversation you’ll have some very interesting topics to speak on and you’ll seem knowledgeable about a lot of things. Don’t go overboard, but there’s a great one on flag design that’s a great jumping off point for other topics such as art, travel, and human behavior. Try it out!
