I've been practicing push/pull both verbally and a little bit physically (like TofuTofu does). Mostly verbally, though. Anyways, sometimes I can really lay on a good combo of push/pull, but honestly I can only do it when the girl is pretty clearly supplicating the initial push (says/does something stupid).

My question is how can I become better at recognizing possible situations for push/pull? What sort of comments or situations should I be looking for from the target? Every now and then, I'll get home and be recounting the night, and be like "SHIT, I really coulda pushed her on this"

For example, last weekend I went to this party, and there was this girl there that I had been talking with for a few weeks prior, but cut it off after I decided she was leading me on (or that's what it seemed like). To be honest, at the time I had a lot of resentment directed at this girl cause she had wasted my time (toyed with me, in a sense), and I REALLY wanted to push her hard, but then throw in a slight pull just for the hell of it to see if she actually responded, and I was reading the signs wrong (saying if she was actually interested). But she didn't supply me any situations to criticize/push, so I was left there with my thumb in my ass, trying to think of ways to push. Needless to say, the night was not my best.

In situations like this, where I'm seriously looking for a push, how can I push her without it being transparent and forced? Usually I look for when they say their opinion, so I can jokingly criticize it or something, but what if that situation doesn't present itself? The pull half of it is not much of a problem for me, I can usually figure an appropriate pull after I think of the push.
