I have some lame friends too.

I would go out to a place with them, and just start talking to girls as if I was alone. Sometimes, I would include a friend passing by into the conversation, but then I realized that I could do that with complete strangers too.

It is damn funny, but if you are in control of the conversation 9"in state"), then you can bring anyone into the conversation at your will. That guy at the bar who is drinking alone, next to her? Ask him what he thinks about her shoes (if you are busting her about her shoes). That hot girl who did not even give you a glance earlier? Make eye contact as she is walking by and tell her to get your new girl "friend" a drink. Or something like that. (Both of these situations happened to me, and my night ended favourably, but I realize I am not doing justice to the incidents here)

One thing you should exercise caution over however, is to make sure that you keep the control of the conversation. E.g. if that guy you invited into the conversation is a Navy pilot, or a creep, you should know how to lead the conversation (and the girl) away. Similarly e.g. with inviting another girl into the conversation, make sure you don't make them too jealous / let them think you are too much of a player.

I go out all the time solo, my two biggest tactics that seem to work are get in good with the people at the location you frequent, they DHV for you. You're having a good time and laughing, and they are often a great source of information.

I also get in groups often better by being solo, I listen to what they are talking about if they are in a very near proximity i.e the bar, ill chuckle make a joke or something that tags on to what they say usually under my breath but loud enough for a person on the outskirts to hear, they will laugh and I'll usually get absorbed into the group.

Im also a very direct opener, Its usually target acquizzired and boom "Hi, I'm CrazyAnon12."
