I understand this won't apply to everyone here, but I think this will help some people and I really felt the need to write it down.
It's been a few years since I've been in a serious relationship, but I've come to a realization--it is 100% NECESSARY to love and respect yourself.
Sure, we've heard that 1000 times here before
I have heard it 1000 times here before as well, and do agree. It makes sense, logically. But like myself, I think a lot of us have trouble with practicality--I subconsciously try to bypass supposed mandatory aspects of seduction and life in general.
Many people here feel that they have their shit together (good job, physically fit, blah blah), and feel that a girlfriend is missing--somebody to keep them from getting lonely or bored between all of their obligations, but they still have some inner game issues. There's one thing I want you to remember--something I've just realized after all these years being single--being in a loving relationship with a high quality woman while not loving yourself and not having your shit together/emotions in check IS A LOT OF FUCKING STRESS AND ANXIETY.
You know how here and there you'll catch an BH8-10 and be in the begginning game stages of setting up dates and getting her to agree, etc.? That's how it can feel during an entire relationship with a high quality woman if you have inner game issues which will make you needy. Yes, even though she's exclusive with you, you'll have the anxiety of constantly gaming her and keeping her hooked.
If you don't genuinely love yourself and have your emotions in check, I don't think you can manage to be in a relationship with a high quality woman who has her shit together for the long run.
Why?
If you're not going about things the textbook /r/seduction way of:
- Loving/respecting yourself
- Having your shit together
- Being genuinely happy
- Getting in a relationship to share your respectable and fulfilling life with someone, not have them fill your void,
Then, I don't think you can maintain whatever mindset and display that you had when getting her attracted to you in the first place. I know it can be done for some time, and you'll be given some slack after a couple months after things get comfortable, but eventually your insecurities or whatever void you have will come out.
I constantly felt stress and anxiety when I dated my ex girlfriend. She was a beautiful girl and was extremely smart. I never thought I was good enough for her. I felt I had played my cards as good as those cards could be played in the begging (to get her to be mine), and eventually I started to become AUTHENTIC. I was the real me (back then)--low self esteem, anxious, unconfident. It eventually came out, and it eventually drove her away.
Throughout that entire relationship I was stressed and anxious daily. I would constantly worry about the smallest things, I would overanalyze everything, and I didn't give her enough space. She was my void filler. I was never comfortable. I was either high or low.
The best relationships and the ones that last are the ones that contain two high quality, admirable, and AUTHENTIC individuals.
The authenticity will come out eventually. Do yourself a favor (if this applies to you), and make sure not to skip step one, which is to love yourself. It really is mandatory.
If you have similar problems like the ones I had, then I guarantee that even if you landed a HB8-10 today and she developed feelings for you after some show you put on, it will not last. No chance.
Please notice that throughout the post, I used high quality women as the target. Ones that don't need you, have fulfilling lives, and take care of themselves. They will demand that and more from whoever they decide to share their time with.
TLDR: It's not long.
