You have to constantly correct yourself when you're speaking until you do it right.
Recently I've been trying to be really straight in the way I talk, I only speak by affirmation and leave no doubts in my lines "you know you want it" instead of "i think we should get together"...
A frontpage post pointed out that using "we" was working a lot as it suggest a lot of things. So use "we" instead of "you" or "I". "what about we go to another bar?"
I've noticed really good results also when approaching in a really strong way "who the hell are you?"

Try it the other way and you sound ten times less like Harrison Ford.
You said there is no 'try'. You failed. BUT because I noticed it, it indicates that I'm following your advice, therefore you win. I see what you did there.
Also, you stuff sounds a lot like NLP... I like. No, wait... I love.
What does 'canvassing' mean?
Good post btw.
The only problem/question I have is that I have a soft-toned voice, and one tip I learned to be more vocal/heard/understood better is to enunciate the last consonant of the words I speak. So for example sometimes I'll say my name 'Frank' but then they'll say 'Fred?' ... by enunciation the last consonant it triggers the mind to assume the correct word. If I do this correctly, and can control my tonality (which I'm still mastering) I'll be able to control my ability to speak in loud places such as bars. Although at the moment I always feel like I have to yell for people to understand me. I wonder how your advice on the down-tone would affect me. Only one way to know - will do.

Yeah I've had that advice before but it's pretty difficult to simply understand what 'breath from your diaphragm' means without knowing whether or not my diaphragm is moving.
It's like saying 'think using your frontal lobe' ... I'm like 'okay...' but yeah I've been trying to work on the diaphragm breathing. Thanks :)

Smile is like the strongest weapon. And I feel like we don't talk enough about it, even if you have a shitty smile it's still warmer to talk to somebody who smile. And no girl will flip you off if you approach them with a smile.
Actually I've been wondering, really recently, I've never seen mystery smiled during an approach.
