For as long as I've been in the community I've always had a problem remembering people's names. I was out the other night and one of the girls mentioned this very simple method:

When you meet someone new, ask them to name a celebrity who's got the same first name as them.

That's it, that's all it took for me to solve this problem. Presto! Now you'll remember their name, it gives you the potential for a nickname so YOU will be memorable to them later on so you don't get the classic "who is this?" response to a text, and you may even be able to use it for call-back humor if the opportunity presents itself.
