Some background info first. So me and this girl have known each other for about two years, in the same program at a university. We instantly connected, but have only seen each other in groups intermittently. Only about a month ago, we started hanging out. HUGE kino, she's really flirtatious, but is super protective of me. Says she's "strangely attracted" to me, etc. She came over to my place after drinks with friends last weekend and we went all the way, save penetration. We cuddled all night and she left the next morning. I was really feeling her. She got sick a few days later so I brought her a bunch of gifts including a DVD. She was super receptive and kissed me and such, but then had friends from out of town visit and canceled on plans to hang out later that night. She said she was going to return my DVD the other day, but I haven't heard from her since (maybe 2 days running now, from a dozen or so for about a week). I'm not novice at this stuff. I'm worrying that it was too soon for me to bring her a bunch of goodies to show her I cared for her and blew my load (figuratively), and now she's not that interested. I hate playing these games, but I feel like I would appear desperate/needy if I send her a text asking why she hasn't responded yet. Might be coming down with a case of one-itis, but I want to make sure I play my cards right.
