Here in my country, texting is very important. We don't "date" people here. People would think you're weird for calling it that. No no, here we have little stages, the first of which, is "They're texting", this can either happen after exchanging numbers, tinder, mutual friends, whatever, but usually 2 people text each other a significant amount here.

"2 or 3 texts, ask for a number, 2 or 3 texts, set up a date"? would not work here in the slightest. You'd look like a total creep for doing that. So, you text, not constantly, just whenever. Then on nights out, since everything so local, if you meet up with someone, it's generally considered you're going to be making out during the night.

People don't look for numbers on nights out her, they go straight for K-closes and usually after that numbers will be exchanged and texting will be implied. That's what's common.

TL;DR Game is social, not universial.
