Is it better to ask a girl out for a date over text.

Or is it better to ask her in person to go on a date.

Keep in mind I'm not a very confident guy. Also if I were to text her asking her If she wants to go in feel like it would be easier for her to say "I can't".

But also I feel like if I were to ask her in person I will stutter because I always do.

So what's your advice, text her and risk and easy way to say no. Or should I ask her in person and stutter every word basically
