Today I realised something important.

Life is not easy.

Rejection, failure and defeat are all sources of emotional pain that no one wants to experience. We as a community are applying the information from this subreddit to try to make the most out of our lives. Some of us want to experience the thrill of attracting a girl, others want to work on their personalities and cultivate social skills, and some just want to find a decent girl that they can take home to the parents. At the end of the day, we are all struggling together. Reading posts, learning, applying, failing, succeeding, failing again, and slowly but surely working our way up to finding what we are looking for.

The point I want to make is that this whole process is making us all emotionally stronger individuals. By trying, failing and most importantly getting back up and trying again, we are making ourselves vulnerable, getting out of our comfort zone and attempting to improve our social skills. More than anything, this experience is cultivating in us a backbone, rather than a wishbone. What a real woman wants is a man who is resilient. Who having just fallen flat on their face after failing, looks failure in the face, says "fuck you" and gets back up to try yet again. We do this because we know what we want. We have our eyes on the prize and we will not stop until we get it. A woman who sees resilience in a man cannot help but be pulled towards him, because she knows that when times get tough (and they inevitably will), he will be there to support her. He will be the rock that she can lean on. A real woman doesn't care how strong a man is physically, but how strong he is emotionally. And this process of failure and struggle is making us emotionally strong individuals.

If you want to become more confident, you have to do things that you find respectable. That is the essence of self-esteem - perceiving yourself to be a respectable person. So keep trying. Keep failing. Keep getting back up. Because day-by-day, you are slowly becoming the man women wish they could be with.
