You are okay. You have value. No matter who you are, what you look like, how much money power or respect you do or don't have. You have value because you are a person. Yes, you. Without exception. So love and respect yourself. Forgive yourself for the person you have been and be proud of the moments you've shined, without clinging to them. You don't need your past victories anymore than you need your past defeats. You are on a path, so breathe in the path air.

Forgive yourself for past instances you have let yourself or others down. That is the past. If you came off as creepy to some girl, that doesn't mean you are creepy. Maybe you were creepy, but that was then. That was part of the path for you. Maybe you're the saddest sack of shit in the world, and you know that you've been rightfully rejected your whole life because you're a short, ugly, poor, socially awkward, nerd. Let go of all that. It's not true.

There is only now, and you can believe in yourself eventually and even be peaceful with who you are by living in the present. Most of you already know this. Know it harder.

All you have to do is not quit. You have one job. Don't quit. And having one job makes it okay. You can handle one job.

If you know what is right, do it no matter who tells you it's wrong. Fuck it, I'll admit that I love me some Enya. I'm still here. I'm still awesome. I'll say that shit in front of anybody. The nerdy shit you are super into and only talk about on reddit, say it to a girl. Even if you like Nickleback, shout it from a mountain top in a Nickleback voice. Say it to girls, and don't apologize. Maybe you want to tone down the porn talk a little though slugger.

This might not be easy to love and respect yourself if nobody ever else has, but you can do it. And if you already love and respect yourself, you can still do it more. It's not going to be easy, but it is possible because you are a human and because every human mind and body is a miracle.

Accept yourself. You are okay.

At the same time You are not okay. Nobody is. We all have a void that isn't supposed to be completely filled, yet. Once again this is because we are human. Life can be full of pain, and for more people than you'd think it can be full of fear, bitterness and self-loathing. It's part of being human. But it doesn't mean you should accept it. Well, you should and you shouldn't. Accept that you'll never be completely okay, but do not accept your lot in life. When you gradually realize that you have the power to make your own reality, not in a Harry Potter sense but through the force of will, being not okay becomes liberating. You have the path. The journey of striving for okay, or even great, becomes enjoyable.

You know what you start to see when you study pickup? Patterns in the teachings. And not just patterns within pickup teachings, patterns that can be found in motivational speakers and religious texts and the morals of Hollywood movies. "Get outside your head. Be in the moment. Be outcome independent." You might not even know it, but you are not on the path to pickup women. You are on the path to self actualization. THE BIG OKAY. You will never get there, but that's not why you walk this path. You walk it because you are at the same time okay and not okay.

The BIG OKAY is at the end of the path, and maybe you think you're too far at the beginning to even try. You're too poor, uneducated, old, awkward, too fat, or too fucking blonde. The destination, the okay, is so far away why even bother. You say "Fuck the BIG OKAY!"

Don't worry about the BIG OKAY. This is the type of okay that you aren't and aren't supposed to be yet. What you are on is simply on the path. The path is just as okay as THE BIG OKAY and as long as you are on the path, you will be okay. Not only because the path leads to the destination, but because it's an interesting path. A noble path. THE path. Enjoy it. Walk down it, even when it scares you, because standing still is boring and it misses the point. So Walk Hard (which is actually an incredibly poignant movie when you take a minute to analyze it) Don't measure yourself against others. If someone else is ahead of you on the path, why the fuck does that matter? You shouldn't disrespect someone behind you either. None of them can hurt you if you don't let them, because the path is safe, even if it doesn't feel that way. They can knock you off the path to okay but you'll bounce right back because the path is all that matters. As a human it is your right to enjoy the scenery on the path of okay, which leads to but never arrives at OKAY.

What is the path of okay? If the destination is self actualization, then the path is self improvement. That's why my reddit name is Canei. It means constant and never ending improvement. It's an old Tony Robbins principle I think. Always improve. Strive to push your limitations. Know who you are. I stumble on this path all the time, but I am confidently committed to it and know where to find it. For that reason, I know I'll be okay. That's what Seddit is about and that's what life is about. The path. Though we are not okay, this path makes us okay. Period. We, lady and gentlemen, are among the lucky few to find this path and, now we know where it is, we mustn't let it go. We even get to walk along this path together. How 'bout them apples?

You have one job. Remember what it is? Your job is don't give up. Stay walking on the path. Not standing still. Just don't give up walking that path, ever. That's it. One job. You can handle that. Even if you get knocked off the path, it still starts right at your feet again.

What totally blows my funny fuse is that at the end of the day, it all comes back to that old chode advice: "Be yourself and be confident"

Be yourself. You are okay, because you are a human on the path. This is all that matters, so no matter what "yourself" is, it's good enough.

Be confident. You are not okay, but you have faith that you will be because you have the path and nothing else matters. There is room for improvement in you, but you are improving because of the path. When you're standing still, force yourself to move. If you're not moving, you're not on the path. And someday when the path seems over and you're dating Adriana Lima, you see that the path isn't over because you want to learn tennis. Or save the whales. Or make a million dollars. You can have faith that this is possible because you are human and deep down within you because human potential is scientific fact. Right now that's along ways away. Today, just commit to the path. Okay? Okay!
