What are your experiences/strategies when trying to get a cute waitress's number at a restaurant? When she is and isn't your waitress!

i was recently at a restaurant with an extremely large group (100 people) and there was a cute waitress among the 5 that were serving our area. We hardly had any time to talk but did exchange some eye contact and a little bit of small talk, but there was no chance of isolation at all.
