My gap year is coming to an end and by the end of September i'll be headed off to uni. Im 19, kissless and a virgin but im ready to change that....

Hey man,

First off congrats on uni! It’s an exciting time, full of opportunity ripe for the picking. So many things to do usually, so I’d say start off by not focusing on women/game at first. Meet people, go to class, take school seriously. Make sure you aim to do well in your classes, and don’t half ass anything. In college, social circle game is key, and having at least a friend group/solid academic success will signal to others you’re at least decent enough for friendship. It’ll also help to have different kinds of friends (if you can); personally, that always gave me variety of friends, women, and just tons of possibilities.

Don’t worry too much about being kissless or a virgin, that’s a state of being that will inevitably change so long as you keep taking action, going to class, and being active in your college (clubs, parties, etc.). Also, and I cannot stress this enough, develop good listening skills. It’ll help in damn near every area of your life.

I get that a lot of this is rather broad and a bit more self help-y, but honestly what I’ve come to learn and understand is that seduction flows most naturally when you’re striving for something that isn’t women; in other words, women should never be your explicit goal, especially in college. Not only will women pick up on that and be disgusted, and leave you a kissless virgin, but you’ll also have paid less attention in class since you were too busy fucking around.

One last thing, college is a process and a journey. You change along the way, learn what life is about, and adapt. It’s also a shit ton of fun. Sharing that fun with friends and others will attract women to you; as Cydney Lauper once sang, “Girls just wanna have fun”. College is hard work, but it can be crazy fun too (with some effort of course).

Lastly, I’ll tell you some things that worked for me regarding women. The most impactful thing I did was saying hi and meeting as many people as I could during orientation, in my dorm, and classes (where I met my recently ex-gf). Personally, I find approaching addictively fun, so introducing myself to a group of girls at my dorm’s movie night was like taking a hit of utterly dank weed. If you’re not living in a dorm, try parties. Otherwise, get creative.

Thanks! I've got a few plans of what i want to do when i hit uni, I used to Rugby but i think i'm gonna try boxing as an alternative (less mud and more violent). I've always taken school p seriously which i think was a bit of a coping mechanism for not getting girls. Like at the start of The Game when Neil Strauss was describing himself it kinda hit home that that was what I'm kinda like. I think social networking and making lots of mates and lots of different mates is a good piece of advice to keep in mind.

Yeah I don't stress about it too much but it is something I want to change, it's kinda like not watching a classic film: it's something that I want to do partly to know what people are talking about, partly because it seems fun and partly so I can move on from it ( though i'm not too hung up over it anyway) but it always seems like something for a different rainy day, I can always put it off you know? On the listening bit though, i think my problem is being too passive in a conversation, I'm good at actively listening and I quite easily slip into deep conversations with people (whether they be guys or girls) but then I get kinda stuck as pseudo-therapist with no way to progress something.

Honestly I love the self help-y vibe, 2 birds with 1 stone and all that so anything else you want to add i'm all ears. With your point on not focusing on it because it becomes a self-repeating cycle, I've always kinda struggled with that in that I feel like if i take that mentality i'll just miss an opportunity because i'm "there to have fun", like i need a set night for going out trying to pull but if i tell myself that this night is to just have fun then i'll ignore chances to pull.

I certainly hope that's true, i'm looking forward to that aspect of what university could be.

I like your take on introducing yourself as fun and a hit, I'll try that mentality when i'm stuck not sure whether or not to approach people. The first year is dorms and it's a campus uni so plenty of parties/going to the student union. I think that'll suit me as well, i've always been shit in clubs.

Absolutely friend, happy to share what bits of wisdom I might’ve picked up so far in life.

As far as being too passive in conversations, and being in therapist mode, remind yourself that the conversation isn’t just trying to figure out what the root of someone’s problem is. I’d say, conversation from a point of empathy. Idk if you do or not already, so maybe it’s a moot point. But it’s still worth saying, conversation is best when it’s back and forth. Share your perspective if someone tells you something, and steer clear of advice if you can. Sympathize, find ways to convey you understand how they feel/felt in what they talk about. Conversation should flow a bit more easily from there.

And hey, don’t forget, this is your life; if there’s something you feel you should do instead, go for it. You’re always free to ignore/deny advice, and sometimes it can be for the right reason. In this case, you’ll have to figure out what feels best for you when conversing, going out, meeting women, etc.

All that said, as to the point about not focusing, I suppose I did mean it in the sense that you’re out with your friends, see some cute girl, and approach; but again, do what works for you.
