I've had a lot of fun first dates, where we go to a lot of different venues and have a good time, but I always have a hard time physically escalating throughout the date and showing statements of intent. They usually end like a friendly get together instead

Yesterday I met someone and we walked around a street market. We grabbed food, checked out some art galleries, tried out VR gaming, visited random stores then had a drink at a bar. Afterwards, we headed to a dive bar that had a dance floor and played loud rap music. I enjoyed the music but she wasn't feeling it too much, and we were both dancing (without touching) and it looked pretty awkward (both of use were in our heads too much).
