If you don’t approach me on that platform and just say hey thought you were cute and wanted to follow or something along those lines you are literally creeping on them.

I've admittedly - and unfortunately - done this in the past with girls I had small crushes on/thought were attractive. This was mainly in an attempt to boost a deeply insecure ego. I had a lot of social anxiety and was very shy/self-isolating, but eventually I'd build up courage to talk to a few in person or message them on the platform (from there I would befriend them before getting caught in unrewarding romantic drama).

These actions were definitely more off-putting than I intended them to be. If you sense that he seems like a decent person from what you've seen, he could just not know how to approach you out of fear of rejection, which was my case.

While it's up to you on how to deal with the situation (either confront him directly or see if he ever sends a message), know it's easy to hide behind a screen. If he's truly interested in you, real courage - the type of confidence you deserve in a partner - is found through getting to know you as a person in person.
