The first step mentally to getting a girlfriend is to be content on your own, right now.

Yes, I'm aware this might be counteractive to your desires, but its the truth. You simply do not have the same aura of attraction when you crave a girlfriend as much as you do now rather than when you are happy being on your own. Girls pick up on this sort of energy very easily, and are very easily turned off by it. Believe me, I speak from experience.

Your goal right now should be to be confident in you being you, living in your own skin, lawyer or not. An actual girlfriend will love you for you as you are, whether or not you fail at achieving your goals. If she dumps you for failing, she was never worth it in the first place.

tl;dr learn how to be content on your own with confidence and happiness. The girls will follow.

I’ve been reading how to be 3% man by Corey Wayne. He really focuses on having a purpose in life and having a career.

It's definitely helpful to have a life of your own.

Something that left out here though, is the concept of having a social network. Friends.

Socializing is important for happiness.

You seem to be putting everything on this prospective GF. Even support that should be coming from friends.

focusing on your goals should be your main focus right now. Become someone who has worked hard and achieved meaningful goals that will leave you financially dependent will make you more desirable to future mates. Have you ever watched Groundhog Day? seriously it's a great watch and I always recommend it when i see a similar post as yours
