Hi all - have a puzzler here from someone outside the seduction community - could use the perspective of people who have dove deep into this more than me.
a few years ago I moved from the west coast (seattle) to chicago, and previous to that I had lived in new york city for a few years.
One thing that completely suprised me was how much harder it was to get indicators of interest from women versus seattle and especially versus new york city. when I say harder I say that as an understatemet - let me explain:
I had it very easy in seattle and NYC - by that I mean all I'd have to do is talk to an attractive girl / have a good time and it'd be pretty easy to get attraction, and I'd often get signals of interest (smiles, looks) and even get approached probably every 1/3 time I went out. I'm not a super good looking guy but I'm on the higher end and am fit / dress very well and also like to have a good time so I try to chat with people when out.
However, since ive been in chicago it's like ultra-hard more as been unlocked. I basically never get indicators of interest, it's incredibly hard to flirt, and everytime I've been approached it's always someone from outside the city that is visiting (which has happened a few times). I've always visited major cities across the US and it's all the same - chicago is the one outlier. Hell, even LA was eaiser.
I'm trying to figure out what the hell is going on and there are some things I've noticed, but would like others' thoughts
1) At first i thought it was because I was new and needed to developed percieved status - but now I have a social group I hang with fairly frequently - but I'm still not fully "established" - meaning I go out solo fairly frequently - could this be it?
2) I've noticed that women are into a few select types of men where I live - and one thing they all have in common is that they are a little "hot/ugly" - meaning more rugged/blue collar sporty look. I'm on the other side of the spectrum and look more "pretty boy". I've noticed that the women are far more attractive than their partners in this city, which is something different than in seattle/NYC. My look is more "rare" around this city I've noticed - so I may not be the prefered type.
3) "Vibes" - I have more an artistic/intellectual vibe - although I am fit and into sports. in seattle and NYC it was easier to meet with similar vibes - so the convos flowed similarly. in chicago more people are just into sports, drinking, and festivals - like either DJ types, Frat Types, etc. so maybe my "vibe" doesnt match what is desired.
