I'll give a background to the idea and myself before I begin discussing what I think is a pretty important topic that is relevant to a lot of people on here.

I'm a younger guy who has tried the whole system and lines thing and had fleeting success, my biggest successes came when I worked on myself and confidence (I know it's been said 1000's of times before but Tyler at RSD is the king for this kind of thing). Last year I built up a slight bit of momentum and managed to pull a girl in a club much better than I ever expected and talk to one for a while afterwards online. Now that doesn't sound like much but if you compare that to what I had before that it is fantastic. I eventually became disillusioned with the whole scene when I hit depression and gave up, now however I think i'm half ready to come back into the game.

What I want to talk about is something that I think effects most people in this community one way or another, the ideas of being fluid and how to deal with completely random reactions from girls. So here goes with the long winded explanation:

I think quite typically people who are very new to the community and manage to get a foothold into the game with a possible success here and there think the natural thing to expect, as with most things, is that practice makes absolute perfection and once you have the lines in place, the ability to go up to a girl and instantly have her salivate over you should instantly follow. However imagine the response when said girl loses interest instantly, one of sheer panic and confusion.

The newbie will instantly scatter his brain looking for excuses and think to himself "My kino wasn't good enough...MUST TOUCH GIRLS BETTER" or "My lines aren't working....IT'S MY ACCENT, MUST BE MY VOICE...OR WAIT MY STANCE"...all the while making himself look less attractive to people as he gets trapped inside his head either worrying about aspects of game or himself.

What is missing from the thought process here is rational thinking. Every girl is different, they each are different shades of a similar colour (meaning that two "girly girls" will not react in the same way to you, just the same way two metal chicks won't react the same). Adding to that no two girls will have had the same day, one will have had a meh day, one a fantastic day and one might have had an awful day and need cheering up and maybe your overly lighthearted approach might not appeal to her at all whereas the girl who is having an awesome day wants that to continue and you trying to act too aloof and calm with could just end up with her being being bored by you.

These arbitrary reactions are always going to happen, if instead of looks being a solid thing...the girls looks changed according to their happiness, I personally think pickup would be MUCH easier than it is at the moment...however that is living in a fantasy world and we live in the real one. So what are you supposed to do in this case...do what the naturals and pro's do; become fluid in the way you react during a night. What I mean by that is be able to snap from the caring shoulder to cry on to the instant alpha fun guy.

Example: 7/10 is out with friends after a pretty rough day (work not going well, arguing with other friends etc) however has decided the best way to get over her problems is just having fun with her friends drinking. She doesn't particularly want to be hassled by random guys, but if the right one came along she'd probably go for it.

Now over comes the newbie full of lines and after some conversations during the night, enthusiastically he tries to be super fun and crazy to get her attention. She knocks him back without a thought and his confidence is knocked, he leaves thinking that either she knocked him back because of how badly his technique was performed or how ugly/short/fat he was. Theres a small chance she thought he was unattractive but a much larger one that she wasn't looking for some overly happy/crazy guy at that point in the night, shes probably still trying to lift herself up to the level where she is having fun with her friends. What in my opinion should have been done at the point of rejection is to change tone completely and turn from seducer to friend and then snap back once you have her attention. Obviously being careful that you don't remain in the friendship mode for too long.

Just my thoughts, feel free to comment/disagree/argue/tell me you've heard this 100 times before.
