The lesbian thing can often be very similar to "I have a boyfriend." the way you get around it isn't by making jokes (as most of Seddit will have you believe), it's in fact to ask a control question such as "How long have you been with your boyfriend?" or "Oh, I always wondered, when did you realise you were a lesbian?" What you're looking for is an abundance of information. From here, you qualify her on something else, while looking for her passion. Preload her that she's honest and then ask her "So what does your boyfriend/girlfriend think of all of this?" If she doesn't really have a partner, she will tell you there and then, otherwise if she does, she'll tell you.

I know this sounds like a lot, and it's very complex, but it is honestly the most powerful thing you can do in this situation. Why? Because you're qualifying them, preloading them, and getting the truth out. It's also a HUGE DHV that you're able to orchestrate conversation so effectively. If this is too much, you can always just make another shit joke and not not get laid.
