There's this girl from my chess club who I think might be interested in me, but I honestly can't tell. We're not close, we just talk when we run into each other. Everyone calls me by my first name, but she's the only one who uses my first name. One time she even asked what my middle name was. After that, I noticed she followed me on instagram, but she also followed other people from the club, so I didn't think much of it. Yesterday she randomly DM'd me asking if I was going to play in the upcoming tournament because there was a guy with the same name as me on the list. I told her it wasn't me, and we started talking for a bit until the conversation ended. What I find weird is that she could've just ignored it. She's playing in the beginner's division, so it's not like she'd face this guy anyway.

Am I overthinking this or does it seem like she was just looking for an excuse to start a convo?
