best advice , not really a technique, for success in a relationship is to remain your own man. do not become a moon orbiting your significant other; it's a mistake, instead keep making strides forward in other aspects of your life , like professionally or socially. you'll bore your SO ( and friends ! ) if she becomes your sole focus in life

Don't put up with unnecessary shit out of love, or whatever. Don't out up with annoyances or things that bother you, thinking that you will learn to eventually dismiss them. Get things out in the open, and don't let resentment build.
