Username literally spells the opposite of what your comment stated.
Assuming you're telling the truth, don't be closeted about it. You enjoy nerdy things, if she doesn't then so be it.

I will say, though, that maybe you should expand your horizons with regular visits to the gym, voluntary work or anything else that'll help you find common ground with others.

That being said, do it because you enjoy the activities, not because you're trying to gain rapport.

PS - When I listed gym as an option, if you don't go already (or stay in some sort of good shape, regularly) then absolutely pursuit it. I think I can speak for anyone when I say that regular visits to the weight rack or running track have easily become the number one most important decision affecting my self-confidence (ultimately referred to as attraction).

So you're obviously happy with what you get up to in your 'alone' spare time, and thats awesome. Honestly, I'm very similar, I watch wrestling, play video games on occasion and watch a ton of movies.

My, 'not-so-alone' time, hobbies include working out (and finding better ways to achieve my goals in this area), actually wrestling, playing tennis non-competitively (something I did years ago, but stopped and am now looking to pick back up) and when I get the chance, I like to drive to a new place and explore it, and if I can afford a flight abroad I'll go to another country (something I've done a couple of times this year).

Moral of this story is; most people are relatively boring and that's ok so long as you are completely happy with what you spend your time doing. Work in a field you enjoy, pursuit hobbies you enjoy, hang with people whose company you enjoy and look forward to keeping. Do things because you want to and for no one else. Passion is attractive.

You say you like nerdy things, fantastic. Say engineering, or biology, is said 'nerdy' thing; you talk the fucking shit out of that - you probably do with your best friends, why not with that hot girl at the bar? Because you don't think she'll like what you're talking about? Truth is, what you say doesn't matter, its how you say it. Say it with confidence and pride*, and the right ones will hang about.

Act around girls the same way you'd act around your best friends.

oh, and read Models by Mark Manson. He's pretty close to God status around this sub and the book elaborates on what I spoke about. Live a life you're interesting in, and others will be interested too - the right ones, that is.

*Note on 'pride' - don't be cocky, arrogant or egotistical, just be proud of your life and embrace that.
