What is the best current advice on profile pics?

I’m in the midst of uploading better pics so I’ve taken the time to do some research. Basically avoid bathroom selfies and shirtless pics. Aim for quality photos, not blurry, and have them taken from the torso or chest upwards. Also, make sure to smile a bit in at lest 1 or 2 pics, this makes a huge difference.

Hire a professional photographer for something like 30 mins/1hour and go for a photoshoot outside.

I thought it would be kinda 'trying too hard' to do this but the dude took some really nice pictures of me (and it wasn't really expensive) and my match rate on Tinder exploded after I started using them.

Complete them with some pictures showing you're social, you travel and you love animals (if possible) and you pretty much have the most efficient profile one regular guy can get.
