Hey folks. Can you help me figure out what is happening?
So, last year I (guy, 25) got divorced after an incredibly long dating period and a ridiculously short marriage. We started dating when I was 17, she was my first lover, and I've never cheated on her. I studied abroad, but made all the time I could to be with her.
Long story short, last Fall we're divorced.
So, naturally, I start meeting other women to see what the world has in store for me. I'd say that I'm quite good-looking and confident when talking to ladies.
The thing is, however, during all that time I've only found two girls that actually wanted to hook up, one girl who shot me down, and the rest (more than a dozen) only looking at me in a romantic-serious-relationships kind of way. I guess I could just date multiple women, but I don't want to be disingenuous.
I quickly learned that being a gentlemen never pays off, that you shouldn't flatter them too much, and that you shouldn't seem too into them. I'm not being a dick to them of course, I'm just being myself.
Is there anything I could do to break the curse? What aspects am I missing? I realize that there might be details I haven't even considered before, but I've heard you know how this works.
I hope you can help
Cheers
