It doesn't hurt to drop hints about what you're doing there, and they might mould themselves around it unless they're in super crazy relationship mode. Asking them is a bit more awkward I find. I try to drop early 'yeah I'm a bit lazy with tinder, don't usually have the time since I'm pretty busy' implying that a relationship isn't something I have time for either. To some extent, it's just Tinder, so both parties shouldn't be under any illusions that it's a hookup and short term dating app.

You can also ask what their experience has been like 'so far' to get some more clues. But in the end you shouldn't ask what they want because then you're entering their frame. You decide what you want (what your frame is) and let them enter it or reject it.

People usually don´t want to be put on the spot.

There´s plenty of girls, tinder or not, who just want to have fun and hook up, like us. But they might not be comfortable answering a survey about how much they want a pipi.

In my experience the best way forwards is to try to be fun, and be clear about your own intentions. If they are on the same page, they will respond to you positively and mirror whatever vibe it is you are giving off, if not they will do you a huge favor and very obviously give signs of non-interest. Learn to read those signs very quickly and move onto another girl to save yourself time.
