Do: have engaging conversations with others. If they go well and you feel a connection, ask them if they want to hang out sometime. If they say yes, ask for their number.

As soon as you get interest signs and you've achieved mutual attraction. So let's say you're at a bar, you've opened to a lady, presented your best qualities, and now she's clearly interested (asking you a bunch of questions about your life). That's when you do it. I usually do "Hey you seem pretty interesting, I'd love to talk to you more sometime but I gotta go soon". Usually that'll result in her giving YOU her number. Remember, you're flipping the script. By having her give you her number you're presenting yourself as the prize, that she's trying to win you over.

Why do you need a number? You can always find them on social media and hit them up there.
