Well, number one, go on a real date. Any more people than just you and her is not a date. If you're in an LTR then occasional group events are fine, but even then it's still not a date.

She's in control because you are insecure. Why would you give her crap for talking to other people at a party? If you want alone time with her don't go to a party (see above).
