True Daygame starts when you stop the girl and she stays to listen to your pitch. That is the start of all the magic that happens later on, however, something uncommon that we wouldn't expect to observe in different socio-cultural settings.

There are 3 axis that "make Daygame work": culture, biology and the player himself. Let us analyze them:

Culture

It is my strong belief that Daygame only works on High Trust societies, societies that people are not afraid to engage with strangers on the potential to establish win-win situations. Dating is not exception, and this trend of open and trustful society originates from Catholic church's cousin marriage ban during the middle ages.

Second is the advent of the big city, this trend is actually recent, picking up from the 1950's onwards. This provides the ground to approach and practice.

Biology

There is significant body of research that the "Provider" archetype, doesn't actually exist. This stems from the observation that men evolved in tribes with no private ownership, a "Provider" was just the clan's value giver.

In contrast Daygame aims for the other end of the spectrum, the "Lover" archetype. Accidentally, this is the one true archetype. Therefore, the slow, romantic dating of the last few centuries was the exception, not the norm.

Player's proposition

To make it in Daygame, more than any other form of Game, you need proficiency and masculine maturity. When a Player picks up a girl in two hours, he is not your average guy. He has worked on his persona and value for years.

If he achieves that, he deserves it, it is the SMP working as intended.

Conclusion

The factors that make Daygame work, are highly unusual in human history, however interact harmoniously to make fast, sober and adventurous seduction possible. If you are making it in Daygame, you should truly be proud of yourself.
