Cheating and consenting to a threesome are two completely different things

You haven't truly loved a girl yet if you don't understand why people feel strong emotions about cheating. A threesome is WAAAAAY different than being emotionally (and possibly financially) invested in a girl for a long period of time and maybe making future plans of some sort, and then they lie and go behind your back to cheat, potentially for a long period of time. When you get your first real serious relationship, you'll understand.

Cheating implies that there is an agreement that both parties are exclusive and one of the individuals breaks that agreement, yet continues to exist in that person's life as if they hadn't. Whether or not you would ever make such an agreement with someone is irrelevant. It's just an emotional betrayal to the person who was cheated. That's why there is usually strong emotion behind it.
