If you buy drinks for girls you just met, you're trying to buy their attention with gifts (a drink). Only chumps do that. Inviting someone on a date is a bit different, you are the host and etiquette says buy the drinks. And you're still trying to buy her attention with gifts. Sample tactic, "I'll get the first round."

And you'd know this if you made the least effort to read some PUA material because this is like one of the most basic, most commonly discussed topics of all time.

To date I have never bought a drink for a girl that I'm not currently seeing or know as a friend. I've never taken a girl home from a club either but there's other reasons for that.

Girls, especially in a club are not doing you favors. They have their own interests. Plus you want a grown up you can buy and pay for their own stuff anyway.
