(Title was not meant to sound offensive)

Been lurking here for a long time, there have been some really great posts here from time to time. But one thing I can't understand is, for example, all the different openers that sound cringy and also very similar to each other, making one think that any girl out there would be able to recognize them in an instant. (Hey, I know this is weird, but I thought you were cute and wanted to say hi.)

I will probably get a lot of shit for the statement above, arguments that if you deliver it in the right way it's no problem etc. But why make everything sound so lame?

I've never practised pick-up but a few years ago I came across this scene when I wanted to improve my success with women. And one person I know taught me everything without even knowing it (pua-lingo would refer to him as a "natural"), and I will try to bring a little quality to this post by telling you about him.

He never did any weird openers, cold-reading, canned lines or anything else. He also NEVER negged anyone. Actually, he did quite the opposite of what you guys are preaching. Here's a quick summary of his modus operandi:

He gave compliments. Lots of them. I have no idea if all of them were sincere, but he sure made them sound like it. He would walk up to a girl with a special look in his eyes, a smile and say Hi. Then he would tell them they're beautiful. And as they were talking he would continue compliment her on things, depending on what she was saying. He quickly got physical and in many cases it didn't take many minutes before the kiss happened. Basically, the kind of shit you would see in bad romance movies. He would sound like a real gentleman sometimes, but he still didn't come across as what you might refer to a "nice guy". I guess what set him apart from them was confidence, strong eye contact, and what he communicated through his body language - that he wants to get physical. And women from the ages of 18-50(!) loved it.

I'm not really sure where I'm going with this post, maybe that it doesn't have to be so damn complicated with rules, strategies and everything else.
